Welcome to the NCA members website, which has been developed to showcase our newest benefit of membership including some huge financial savings from some of the biggest suppliers to the sector.

The Advantages of Being a Member

The advantages of membership rest with the strength of an Association which represents most owners, homes and beds in both Nottinghamshire County Council and Nottingham City Council. Our numeric strength enables us to continue to be directly involved in the planning and implementation of services by our colleagues in social services and the NHS and to negotiate with one powerful voice. Whilst it sometimes seems that what we achieve falls short of what we would like, particularly with fees where the size of the pot is beyond our influence, the fact is that we are listened to and our opinions are sought, valued and acted on.

Member's Support services:

  • Care Advice
The executive has answers to many frequently asked questions or can signpost you to other members or agencies that can help. Use the Contac t Us page.
  • Financial Benefits – NEW in 2010
NCA has worked hard, and continues to do so, to develop a huge range of financial benefits for its members. Some of the biggest suppliers to the care sector, Care Shop, Brakes, JLA, Fireco, and Aid Call now offer our members substantial discounts on their products and these benefits continue to grow. We also offer our members business support services from the likes of RBS, Brunswicks and Energy Advisors, again these services are normally discounted and in some cases free.

  • Liaison, Representation and Lobbying
A regular and positive flow of information is maintained between our Members and Social Services departments, Members of Parliament, CQC and training agencies. This flow of information is provided with the profile achieved by speaking with a single voice.

Members have access to a special area that allows them to update the details of bed vacancies at any time.

We are an independent Association representing independent homes

Our Association represents the majority of independent (companies, individuals, charities, voluntary sector organisations and housing associations) care homes throughout Nottinghamshire and Nottingham City. We do not represent local authority care homes.
